This week, I'm thinking about the rise of Web3 Studios. In today’s news section, you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Though it’s trending, it’s not a trend- Web3 technologies and protocols will be the future standard of most organizations. If you think about the true value add of Studios- talent and shared resources- it’s obvious why Studios are doubling down.

In the world of Web3, successful projects are built on a solid foundation of community. By incentivizing members with ownership, these communities are able to leverage collective power and resources to achieve massive goals- all while working in a decentralized and flexible way.

Studios operate on many of the same principles- shared ownership is a key pillar of successful projects, network is a major competitive advantage, and community resources compound to expand capabilities and reach.

By combining playbooks with capital and functional services (tech/ marketing/ design), Studios can champion creators and help fuel the communities that contribute to the growth of these powerful projects.

The “winning model” is still unknown, but I like the direction it’s heading.

As more Web3 Venture Studios come to market, we’re going to see differentiation which is great for customers- i.e founders and creators. I’m enthusiastic about the potential of Studios like EONXI whose leaders, Sherrard Harrington and Aaron Wilson, are educating, funding, and fueling black founders building in Web3.

I hope this trajectory continues and we see Web3 Venture Studios using this opportunity to power founders from underrepresented backgrounds as the current Web3 landscape is lacking in the diversity department. Needless to say, I’m excited about the future of Studios in the Web3 space and highlight it as a trend to watch.
