Welcome to the 117 new subscribers who joined last week - let’s dive into the Startup Studio newsletter!
I say it all the time but Venture Studios are exploding in popularity.
When I started in the space back in 2015 there was hardly any information about Studios online - that’s what sparked my curiosity and why I committed to sharing my learnings out loud. But now there are 700+ Studios in existence and more innovators, professionals, investors, and students learn about the Studio ecosystem every day.
For that reason, I figured it was time to write a beginner’s guide to Startup Studios.
In it, I cover many of the essential foundations including:
What a Startup Studio is (and is not)
The history and evolution of the space
The nuances of the model and stats on Studio outcomes
Common resources provided by Studios
The 3 part framework that is the secret to Studio success
Spoiler alert: Startup Studios build companies in parallel leveraging shared resources and repeatable processes to create economies of scale.
The pros and cons of the model
And much more. Here’s the full article if you want to give it a read or share it with someone new to the Studio Space.
